Malaria Must Die

In March 2019 Heather worked with the in-house team at Malaria No More UK to plan and deliver the media launch of the Malaria Must Die ‘Power of the Voice’ campaign.

The campaign featured a short film with David Beckham, using AI technology to enable him to speak 9 different languages to call on world leaders to take action to defeat malaria.

The task was to lead on the media campaign; project managing various partner organisations to gain international media coverage to inspire action from the public to add their voice and demand action from leaders in key territories including the UK, France, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.

Heather managed the UK media day, securing widespread coverage across print, online and broadcast titles, and arranged an array of TV and radio interviews with spokespeople and case studies.

The campaign received a total of 192 pieces of international coverage and 349 UK media pieces, with national TV outlets such as Sky News, ITV Lunchtime News, Channel 5 News, and national print and online features with The Metro, Daily Express, The Independent and The Evening Standard.
